This month went by fast, but it certainly kept me busy. My normal routine of work and writing schedule has been a fun balancing act. I have accomplished a lot in the time I had.
This month, eight more chapters of Mielea’s Lost have been edited. Next month, I will be done editing the third draft. There are only three more chapters left. The plan from there is to let it sit for a month before I do another read-over. This time, it should be minor fixes and implement a small list of world-building that I skimmed over while editing.
After I am done with the draft edits, I plan to start drafting the second book of the series again. A couple of days ago, I looked at what I had started before extensive edits were made to Mielea’s Lost. There will be some things that will need to be changed. It’s a very early draft so it’s not a big deal.
At the end of this month, Project Phoenix is at 21k words. This was planned to be a novella, but with how many ideas I still have left to go, I think it will be its own series. I hope to continue to draft this book alongside the second book of Mielea’s Lost.
Inspiration came for some fixes to my older works when it didn’t want to work on the two main projects. So, those notes have been put in their respective places. I continued to make some handwritten story notes/pages into digital backups.
I received an ARC copy of a book that I have been excited to read. I’ve had a hard time putting it down, and I’m easily a third of the way done. I will most likely blog about it when I am done reading it.
